ORANGE — First Selectman Jim Zeoli, who is running for this fourth term, has guided the town through an economically difficult time.
But by controlling taxes and spending, he said, he managed to provide for some measure of stability.
“I make sure each service in town gets some sort of coverage that they deserve,” he said.
He is proud of his administration’s record regarding economic development, especially with United Illuminating coming into town, possibly next year.

Kevin McNabola is a candidate for public service who brings experience in both the public sector and the private sector.
The Orange school district business manager is running for first selectman on the Democratic ticket. He has chaired the Board of Finance for eight years and comes with corporate experience from Bayer and GE.
The 43- year-old is active in many areas in town. Apart from serving the school system, he is also a member of the Rotary Club. He is a volunteer fireman. His true passion, though, is sports. He coaches Little League and youth hockey, loves to play golf and “really all sports.”

To the Editor:
On Nov. 8 Orange residents will decide who will lead our town for the next two years.
As our first selectman, Jim Zeoli has cut town government spending, brought in development like UI, Aurora Products as well as many new shops and restaurants. Jim’s effort for us has recently resulted in our town receiving a credit upgrade to AA+.

To The Editor:
Orange is a great town. That’s why we moved here 36 years ago to raise our family. The schools, the activities, the sense of community, the open space.

To the Editor:
I was disheartened and disgusted to hear Mr. Zeoli refer to our family’s first home in Orange as a “cracker box house in a ditch” during the First Selectman debate on Sunday, Oct. 23.

To the Editor:
It was recently brought to my attention that my opponent’s wife submitted a letter stating that she was hurt and offended by comments that I made during the Or Shalom debate.
I feel a response is required for those that may not understand what Mrs. McNabola is talking about. As Mrs. McNabola was not present at the debate, I believe that she has taken my comments out of context.
