LETTER: The planning and zoning of our forefathers must be preserved

To the Editor:

The Toll Brothers plan for building condos on 17 acres of the Country Club of Woodbridge is not in the best interest of the people of Woodbridge.

Changing the land from Residential A to allowing multi building condos does not enhance the rural, neighborhood character of Woodbridge, which we all enjoy.

The Village District is the perfect place for the 55 age restricted housing. It already has Plan and Zoning approval in the business, multi-use section of Woodbridge.

The history of zoning in the Town has given us the thriving, beautiful sought-after Woodbridge that we love. The planning and zoning of our forefathers must be preserved.

We have a business, multi use district. We have a Residential A single family zone. Please do not change this Once we rezone this residential area, the door is open for more change on other undeveloped parcels within Residential A zone.

If taxes are the concern, the already planned village will produce the taxes. The Town should work with the Woodbridge Village builders. Revise and resize their plan and enable them to break ground.

Tax payers of Woodbridge — Please join me and vote NO in the upcoming referendum, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 6 A.M. - 8 P.M.
