Stepping Stones Museum

Stepping Stones Museum for Children is an award-winning children’s museum where children ages 10 and under may explore exhibits and activities that inspire an understanding of the world around them. The environment is based on the knowledge that children learn best by doing and encourages meaningful hands-on interactions among children and families of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. The museum's recent expansion has created a LEED Gold Certified building that doubled the space available for visitors to dig into concepts, as in the Energy Lab where children learn about the science of energy, or Tot Town, where infants and toddlers are encouraged to explore.

Admission is $14 and $10 for seniors, with children under age one and members admitted free. (Family memberships are $145 and up.) The last Thursday of the month from 5 to 8 p.m. is Get Into It! FREE. Hours are Monday-Sunday, 10-5. (Members may enter at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.) The museum includes a café, with healthy snacks and lunches, and a gift shop, both open during museum hours.
