The Shelton High School Parent Teacher Student announces its annual post prom, to be held after the prom on June 4, and are seeking donations from parents and the community to help fund the event.
PTSO organizers said the post prom is a way of keeping teens safe during the celebrations following the prom.
The post prom will be at a new location this year, the SportsCenter of Connecticut, 784 River Road.
The post prom is free to all eligible students — juniors and seniors whether or not they attend the prom. Underclassmen will be admitted if they accompany a junior or senior to the prom.
The post prom runs from midnight to 4:30 a.m. Students can take part in the activities offered by the Sports Center, including ice skating, laser tag, bowling, miniature golf course, driving range, baseball/softball batting cages, game zone and sports court.
The event includes complimentary use of ice skates, golf clubs, bats and balls. In addition, students will receive refreshments throughout the event and will be eligible to win raffle and door prizes.
