Sign language class starts today

Written Words Bookstore is introducing sign language classes for children. Classes will be held in the store on Wednesdays, starting April 27.

Six-week class for children ages 5 and 6 is 4-4:45 p.m. Children will be taught finger-spelling, numbers and other basic signs. Tuition is $45.

Eight-week class for children age 7 to 9 is from 5 to 5:45 p.m. In addition to basic signs, children will be taught about appropriate instruction of deaf culture and conversational sentences. Tuition is $55.
