Following are programs and activities at Plumb Memorial and Huntington Branch libraries. Most require advance registration. Plumb is at 65 Wooster St. Call 203-924-9461 to register for children’s programs; 203-924-1580 to register for adult programs.

HUNTINGTON BRANCH
Branch Open House — Saturday, April 30, 11 a.m. Samples from local restaurants, Polish folktales by Sharon Wood, door prizes and more; library card campaign to register new library members.
Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesdays, May 3 and 10, 2 p.m. Infant and non-walkers with caregivers; developing early literacy by focusing on nursery rhymes, traditional songs and finger plays.
Toddler Movement — Wednesday, May 4, 11 a.m. Preschool music and action for 2-4 years olds and caregivers.
Tales for Tots — Wednesday, May 4, 11 a.m. Stories and activities, designed for those two and older and their caregivers.
Story Time for 3s & 4s — Thursday, May 5, 11 a.m. Short story time for preschoolers.
PLUMB MEMORIAL
Stay & Play — Fridays, April 29 and May 6, 10:30 a.m. Play time for preschoolers and caregivers; coffee, tea and juice offered — bring a snack and a friend.
Early Childhood Fair — Saturday, April 30, 9 a.m. Local preschool providers and educators offer activities while discussing preschool development with parents and caregivers; free event, prizes and snacks.
Conversation Café — Practice speaking English in a comfortable setting. Saturdays, April 30 and May 7, 12:30 p.m. for beginners and 2 p.m. for intermediates.
Budding Book Worms — Mondays, May 2 and 9, 10:30 a.m. All ages walk-in story time.
Mother Goose Math — Monday, May 2, 5:30 p.m. Students in kindergarten and first grade play games, hear stories and take part in activities building math skills.
Fun for Little Ones — Tuesdays, May 3 and 10, 10 a.m. Babies and toddlers through 36 months take part in a half hour of stories, songs, motion and more with their caregivers.
Knit! — Tuesdays, May 3 and 10, 6 p.m. Knitters meet to share and support; new folks welcome.
Stories & More — Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Books, music, crafts and other pre-literacy activities for preschoolers and caregivers.
Read to Me! — Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. Drop-in story time for children 3-5 years.
On display — Shelton resident Marina Golos shows some of the work she has painted with training from Bob Borosky and support from books borrowed from the collection at Plumb Memorial Library and from other libraries across the state. A software engineer by trade, her passion is painting.
Home delivery — Shelton residents who cannot get to the library because of temporary or permanent disability are welcome to apply for home delivery of library materials.
