'Almost, Maine' auditions start Jan. 4

The Darien Arts Center invites you to audition for a Darien Players production of “Almost, Maine,” written by John Cariani and directed by Carin Zakes.

Audition are Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 4 and 5, at 7:30, in the Arts Center’s visual arts studio behind Town Hall.

Callbacks, if required, are Thursday, Jan. 6, at 7:30.

“Almost, Maine” takes place in a small town in the far north of Maine. There, on one cold, starry winter’s night, nine different scenarios of love are played out; love lost, love found, love re-visited. The show is sweet, funny, sad, reaffirming and a touch mystical.

Performance dates are March 11 through March 26: Fridays and Saturdays at 8 and Sundays at 2.

This production is non-union, non-paid.

A small group of actors will play a variety of roles in the various vignettes. Roles center on actors and actresses in their mid 20’s to mid 50’s.
