Atria Darien will showcase the paintings of Rowayton artist Susan O’Neill on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 4-6.
This will be O’Neill’s farewell show.

She will be relocating to Key West, where she will paint tropical subjects in her vibrant, colorful style.
O’Neill graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a bachelor of fine arts and bachelor of architectural degrees. She began painting in 2007 and works primarily with acrylics in a wide variety of subjects including still lifes, seascapes, animals, portraits and many Fairfield County scenes. Her style can be described as contemporary realism. She uses bright, bold colors in her light-filled paintings.
Her work has been in several juried shows including exhibits at the New Haven Paint and Clay Club and the Carriage Barn in New Canaan. She is an exhibiting member as well as a board member at the Rowayton Arts Center. Her paintings can be viewed on her Web site at SusanONeillPaintings.com.
The Gratia Gillespie Art Gallery is free and open to the public daily.
