A friend of Mother Teresa will speak at St. Thomas More R.C. Church in January. Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle, author and speaker, will be leading a Women’s Retreat on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 9-1, in the parish hall.
The retreat is open to all women in the community and will explore the challenges of our culture from a Catholic woman’s perspective.Donna-Marie — mother of five children, author, speaker, and friend of Blessed Mother Teresa — travels the country to speak about prayer, motherhood, family and a variety of women’s issues. She founded a branch of the lay Missionaries of Charity, speaks on Catholic radio, and hosts a TV series on EWTN: “Everyday Blessings for Catholic Moms.” Her latest books are “Mother Teresa and Me: Ten Years of Friendship” and “A Catholic Woman’s Book of Prayers.”
Tickets are $25 per person, including lunch. Advanced registration is requested.
A snow date is scheduled for the following Saturday, Feb. 5.
