A pantomime learning performance, including a brief presentation on the history of mime, will be held at the senior center on Monday, Jan. 24, at 12:45 p.m. The performance follows the talk.
Lenka Pichlikova creates imaginary walls, pulls an imaginary rope, lifts imaginary weights, and pulls an imaginary puppy out of an imaginary box.

She will take the audience to different imaginary environments-the seashore, the circus, the park-all without saying a word.
The audience also learns about the many things our hands can express and how gesture and movement can also express ideas and emotions.
Pichlikova studied mime in her native Prague and subsequently with the famous French mime, Marcel Marceau. She was recently voted Best Mime in Fairfield County by Greenwich Magazine and has an extensive background in theater and acting.
