The annual Senior Senior Prom at the senior center, At the Hop, is Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 3-5 p.m.
Darien seniors will be joined by Darien High School seniors to dance the afternoon away to the best of classic ’50s rock ’n roll. Deejay Randy Holloway, who has played guitar and bass with Fred Paris (“In the Still of the Night”) and on the “oldies” circuit with the Drifters, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas, and the Marvelettes, will spin the records. He has played at the Apollo Theater, Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Nassau Coliseum and the Westbury Music Fair.

Also entertaining the prom-goers will be singer and dancer Sonia Gubitz, who was born to musical parents in Zurich Switzerland.
She plays the oboe, keyboard and has sung in a variety of female bands and vocal groups.
This year the kids will be decorating the gym and will provide the snacks. The annual dance brings two generations together and has become something both sets of seniors look forward to.
