Fall is quickly coming ready or not, and for those who work with Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT that means gearing up for another luncheon and fashion show. This year the date is Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Redding Country Club beginning at 11 a.m.
Lyn Evans Potpourri Designs of Ridgefield and New Canaan will again be showing its clothing line and accessories. Several members of the Redding chapter will be modeling. Each person attending will receive a card worth 25% off one item for use at either of Lyn Evans' stores.
The fund-raiser is one of only two the local chapter sponsors. The $39 per person donation include salads and a choice of pork tenderloin with roasted potatoes and vegetables, mahi mahi with vegetable compote and couscous or vegetarian pasta primavera and dessert.

The free event takes place rain or shine on the church campus off Cross Highway.
Each year the fair draws approximately 1,000 visitors from Fairfield County for old-fashioned family fun. Approximately 40 fine artisans will gather on the grounds, selling their handcrafted items. Another favorite stop is the Apple Pie Tent where visitors can buy homemade pies by the slice or full pie. There is also "congregational soup," which is combined and warmed in an old-fashioned caldron over an open fire, pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, hamburgers, and homemade fudge and baked goods.
The fair also offers a huge tag sale, children's games and raffle items featuring services and items donated by local businesses and church members.
