The Colgate 13, an all male a cappella group from Colgate University, held several performances at schools around town. Senior and Assistant Leader Sam Christie and junior Michael Mishonski both went to elementary schools in town and are graduates of Central Middle School. While on tour they sang at Cos Cob School, Whitby School and Glenville School. They also sang in the Super Show performances at Central Middle School and concluded their tour singing at a fund-raiser for The Annex, a youth center in town at 38 Field Point Road.

The YWCA Greenwich hosted nearly 300 parents and children at its annual Multicultural Fair. The event featured a range of sports, educational and culinary activities, including a costume parade, an international buffet, games and races, arts and crafts from around the world and raffle “goodie” baskets. Every child also got a passport to be stamped each time they pay a visit to an activity of a particular country. From left are Marina, Ayano and Sayka Takahashi.

Greenwich resident Ezra Grossman, right, with state Rep. Fred Camillo, (R-151), at MS Action Day, held at the state Capitol in Hartford on Tuesday, March 15. The event, hosted by the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter, attracted more than 50 people from across the state living with multiple sclerosis. Mr. Grossman experienced his first symptoms of MS in 1974 but was not diagnosed until the 1980s. Mr. Camillo told the crowd it’s very important to reach out to state legislators and build a personal relationship about the issues related to MS that mean the most to them. Dr. Peter Gerhardt, a nationally recognized expert in adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum, consulted with the staff of the Abilis L.I.F.E. program last month. L.I.F.E. is a transition program for older teens and young adults with autism, providing instruction in life skills, social and communication skills, and skills needed for successful employment. Dr. Gerhardt, center, observed the program and met with program staff.

The Presbyterian Church of Old Greenwich, 38 West End Ave., will be holding a performing arts day camp called Kidshine for rising third to eighth graders from July 11 to 15 at the church. It will run from Monday to Friday from 9 to 3 and the cost is $150.
