This year's Darien Road Race to again support Community Fund, cancer centers
The Darien Road Race, which is planned for Sunday, Sept. 19, at Pear Tree Point Beach, has several town beneficiaries this year.

The race will once again be supporting the Community Fund of Darien, the Bennett Cancer Center at Stamford Hospital, and the Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital.Darien Local News

Goalie Charlotte Lyons enters the ladies lacrosse cage for the University of Vermont this month.
Prior to joining the Division I Catamounts the Darienite started for St Luke’s School ever since making the team in eighth grade.
Lyons backstopped St. Luke’s to 16-2 her senior year last spring during the regular season, losing to Convent of the Sacred Heart in a closely contended semifinal match for the 2010 FAA title.
