49 of 55 Darien residents elected to the RTM

Four of the six Representative Town Meeting districts featured races for open seats. Districts 3, 4, 5 and 6 had more canidates than seats. The other two districts had fewer candidates than seats. Districts 1 and 2 did see two write-in candidates garner the neccessary 25 votes to be elected to Darien’s town legislature.

There were 53 candidates on the six district ballots. Of those candidates, 47 were elected Tuesday. Another two were elected by write-in votes. Susan E. Morrison of District 4 was the top vote-getter, among all RTM candidates, with 602. (Click here for all the totals.)
