Christ Church Easton will host a parenting seminar entitled "What Can You Bring?" presented by licensed family therapist and parenting coach Jeanne Rollins on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Ms. Rollins will present a motivational talk intended to show parents that we don't ask enough of our children — preschool age through young adult — thereby depriving them of opportunities to become confident and accomplished contributors to their families and communities.
According to Ms. Rollins, "when each member of our family walks away from the table feeling like a contributor, confidence, self-regard and respect for others is likely to follow." The seminar will explore ways to enable responsible behavior in your child, ways to help him or her discover personal gifts and talents, and how to set boundaries between parent and child.
Christ Church is offering this unique talk as an outreach service to community families. "As parents, we all want to raise happy, confident young adults," said Christ Church's Rev. Ellen Huber. "This seminar will give us the tools to do just that."
Refreshments will be served, and there is a suggested donation $10.
