Barlow Theatre Productions (BTP), which is responsible for the major theatrical productions at Joel Barlow High School, is embarking on a new community outreach endeavor. On Wednesday, Feb. 8, the community is invited to attend an informational meeting with BTP in the Joel Barlow High School Library Seminar Room at 3:30 p.m. to discuss ways the theater department can become more visible to and engage new volunteers.
Led by Patrick Higgins, director of student activities, this meeting will focus on how to forge a collaborative relationship between the theater department and the surrounding community.
"We hope to strengthen our theater program by adding new resources and points of view that will create more opportunities for our talented actors and crew," said Mr. Higgins.
BTP is especially interested in hearing from those in the community who have a theatrical background in any of the many areas that are needed to organize and produce theater.
