Photos of Easton scenes now on display in library community room

The Easton Arts Council’s fifth annual juried photography exhibition has opened at the Easton Public Library community room, 691 Morehouse Road.

The 60 photographs on display highlight the rural and scenic beauty of Easton. The exhibit, free and open to the public, goes through Dec. 19.

A reception will take place Saturday, Nov. 21, from 7 to 10 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at that time for first place in both the adult and under 18 divisions, as determined by juror Robert Taylor, a master photographer. Second place as well as honorable mention certificates also will be awarded.

Taylor has been named Connecticut Photographer of the Year four times.

Both first-place photos will go on permanent display in Easton Town Hall. Exhibited photos are eligible for inclusion in the Easton Arts Council’s 2011 calendar.
