Man arrested in Spain for Westport murder and robbery:

Andrew Robert Levene, 41, was arrested by Spanish National Police Jan. 23 on federal charges of murder, robbery and firearm charges, stemming from the Dec. 8 robbery of Y.Z. Jewelers in Westport.

Firefighters extinguish home blaze on Cambridge Street:

Multiple reports of a structure fire at 78 Cambridge Street came in to the Fairfield Fire Department on Jan. 20 at about 9:50 p.m., the callers reporting flames coming out of the windows of the Cape Cod style home.

Two cars crash onto lawn, one against house:

Two vehicles crashed onto the lawn of a Round Hill Road residence, shortly after 2 p.m., Jan 19.

Tetreau delivers State of the Town address:
First Selectman Michael Tetreau gave his first State of the Town address at a Jan. 22 RTM meeting.
He discussed the accomplishment of the new Fairfield Metro station, hopes to improve the town website and communications, a planned town budget workshop, and the imperative to improve senior services.

Special master says state district map is drawn with ‘perfect population equality’:

The special master appointed by the Connecticut Supreme Court as it resolves a partisan stalemate over the state’s congressional map has completed his redistricting proposal.

Skaters fall just short of upsetting T-Birds:

The Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe boys hockey team battled with North Branford through a grueling three periods, and then came up short in overtime dropping a 4-3 decision at the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport on Jan. 16.
