Charity golf event raises more than $200,000

On Oct. 6 the Fairfield/Westchester Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation held its annual Charity Golf Classic at Fairview Country Club in Greenwich. Bill Evans, Meteorologist for ABC-TV and WPLJ Radio was out on the course and was the master of ceremonies for the evening’s presentation as well.

The Annual Charity Golf Classic raised more than $200,000 for CCFA, which is the only national nonprofit, voluntary health organization dedicated to the fight against Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis collectively known as IBD (inflammatory bowel disease).  CCFA’s mission is to cure and prevent Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.  More than 1.4 million Americans suffer from these diseases.
