John Otis Carroll of New Canaan who once owned a hobby shop in Greenwich, died Friday, March 5, at Norwalk Hospital. He was 82.

Duncan M. Toll, a Wilton resident for more than 20 years whose mother was from Greenwich, died Wednesday, March 3, at home, surrounded by family, following a year-long battle with brain cancer. He was 53.
Born April 8, 1956, in Glen Cove, N.Y, he was the son of Philip A. Toll Sr. of New Canaan and the late Dawn Vickers Toll of Greenwich.
“Above all, Duncan found his greatest happiness and fulfillment in his family,” members said.

Eleanor M. Ward, 84, of Greenwich died peacefully on Feb. 16. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Robert K. Ward and her parents Jack and Susie DeMartin. Eleanor was born Sept. 9, 1925 in New Haven, and grew up in Fairfield. She graduated from Green Mountain Junior College in 1945 and from Adelphi University in 1948 with a B.S. in Nursing. Alfred Francis Camillo Sr., a Greenwich native who lived most of his life in his hometown, died Feb.14. He was 80.
Born on Aug. 18, 1929, he was the first child of Robert Camillo and Rose Cofone Camillo.
He spent his early years growing up in Greenwich’s Italian neighborhood known to many as “Chickahominy.” As an adolescent he was affectionately referred to by his friends as “Nature” — a name inspired by his love of the outdoors and animals.
