Greenwich field hockey opens FCIAC tourney today

The Greenwich High School field hockey team will open play in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference tournament starting today.

The Cards, which finished the regular season 10-3-0-0 and Western Division champions, picked up the third seed in the FCIAC tournament and will host the first round game today at Cardinal Stadium at 3 p.m. against Fairfield Warde High School.

With the victory, Big Red will advance to the semifinals, which will be held at New Canaan High School's Dunning Field.
