Elisa (Gonzalez) Sampson, 79, a Trumbull resident for the past 47 years, died Jan. 23, at the Jewish Home for the Elderly, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, with her children by her side. She was the wife of Bruce Sampson for 59 years. Her daughter Lisa lives in Monroe.

Frank J. Mastroni Sr., 86, of Easton, owner, operator and founder of Mastroni Excavating Co., died Jan. 26, in St. Vincent Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Ruby Mae Cryoskie Mastroni for 46 years. Two of his children live in Monroe.
