WEATHER UPDATE: Forecast is upgraded to winter storm warning

The National Weather Service has upgraded its forecast to a winter storm warning for Fairfield and New Haven counties, predicting significant snowfall, gale force winds and near winter conditions throughout Wednesday in Bridgeport and the surrounding area.

Snow is predicted to begin falling late Tuesday and become heavy during Wednesday, tapering off Wednesday night and ending early Thursday morning.
