Meadow Pond celebrates reading

Meadow Pond Elementary School Principal Carolann Castellano and school mascot Max the Moose greet students from the roof of the school as they arrive earlier this month. The display celebrated the school’s accomplishment of reading more minutes during Parents as Reading Partners month in March than in previous years. Students competed against each other in teams to read the most minutes, and Assistant Principal Terry Costin dyed his hair and beard the color of the winning team — cherry red.
