Westlake wins Fulbright scholarship

Rebecca Westlake of Goldens Bridge has won a scholarship to teach abroad from the Fulbright Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State. Ms. Westlake, a 2007 graduate of Bates College in Maine, has begun an English teaching assistantship in Madrid, Spain, working in a bilingual program with adolescent students. She has previously completed a two-year placement with the non-profit Teach for America.
