Students celebrate difference day

On Thursday, Nov. 5 at Meadow Pond Elementary School and on Friday, Nov. 6 at Increase Miller Elementary School, second and fifth grade students learned about learning disabilities and other challenges faced by those with special needs at Difference Day. Students rotated through five stations run by the Special Education PTA to learn about speech and language, blindness and visual impairment, hearing impairment, learning differences, and physical disabilities. The events are held every other year at each of the four elementary schools. Information: klsepta.org.
