The College Board has recognized 130 current and former students at John Jay High School for their performance on Advanced Placement (AP) exams. Eight students qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4 out of 5 or higher on all of their AP exams, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of the exams: Joshua Bolgar, Margaret Cunniff, Abigail Greene, Lucie Parker, Brendan Peters, Michael Pistey, David Restle, and David Schwartz.
An additional 48 students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for earning an average grade of 3.5 or higher on their exams and earning 3 or higher on five or more exams: Isabel Baker, Matt Banks, Laura Bauer, Josh Bolgar, Wyatt Cadley, Alyssa Casill, Madelyn Cohen, Trevor Cohen, Madeline Coleman, Olivia Coleman. Margaret Cunniff, Michael Doany, Julie Dressler, Julianne Gagnon. Abigail Greene, Samantha Hamilton, Isaac Hasson, Leigh Herzog, Melanie Hundt, Eric Kutscher, Benjamin Landau. Christen Lazarcheck, Dania Lerman, Rachel Lopkin, Glenn Miltenberg, Avery Nackman, Madeline O’Neill, Lucie Parker, Daniel Perret, Brendan Peters, Michael Pistey. Emily Pope, Derek Racine, David Restle, Louis Ricci, Maxwell Sanders, Emma Schnur, David Schwartz. Reuben Shorser, Max Siegel, Tyler Silver, Jamie Song, Elise Tetelman, Zara Tillem, Ksenia Vlasov, Jeremiah Walsh, Caitlin Watterson and Cody Zaccagnino.
Thirty-one students earned the AP Scholar with Honor award for earning an average grade of 3.25 or higher on their exams, and earning 3 or higher on four or more exams: Emily Andrews, Leslye Burleson, Katherine Chung, Aaron Daniels, Justin DeLuca, Stephen DiGregoria, Kaitlyn Douglass, Andrew Emmer, Allyse Fazio, Benjamin Fischberg, Daniel Friedman, Alexander Goldberger, Scott Haber, Brett Kaplan, Sean King, Chloe Lee, Emily Luckow, Emily Markert, Michael Mitchell, Julie Qiu, Kay Real, Cassandra Ring, Wesley Rogers, Hannah Schillinger, Vikas Shetty, Alana Shizume, Alexander Skillman, Eugenia Volkova, William Watterson, Kora Welsh and Elizabeth Weston.
