Castelli sponsors legislation to increase environmental funding
Assemblyman Robert Castelli of Goldens Bridge, 89th District, voted on May 14 to pass legislation he co-sponsored that would increase funding for the New York State Environmental Protection Fund (EPF). The bill, Assembly Bill A7137-A, is entitled "the Environmental Protection Fund Enhancement Act," and it passed unanimously.

The John Jay baseball team advanced to the Section 1 Class A quarterfinals with a 17-3 win at top-seeded Yonkers on Friday.
The 16th-seeded Indians (10-11-1) play at ninth-seeded Byram Hills today at noon.
John Jay trailed after one inning, 3-2, but scored four times in the top of the third to lead 6-3, and blew things open with nine runs in the fifth.
