Booster club donates equipment

The John Jay Booster Club has donated more than $34,000 worth of equipment to John Jay High School for the school’s health classroom and its strength, conditioning and wellness center. The club’s donation included $11,700 worth of sports flooring, a $4,900 air conditioning unit, and a $5,000 SMART Board for the health classroom, as well as $8,900 worth of fitness flooring and $3,550 in ceiling fans for the wellness center. The donation was accepted at the school board meeting on Thursday, Oct. 8.
