Lonnie Palmer, vice president of Energy Education, presented a proposal to the school board for an energy-saving plan that he says would pay for itself. Mr. Palmer described how Energy Education would provide training, software, and materials for locating and eliminating wasteful activities in the district, so as to save at least 20% on the district’s energy costs. The company would be paid out of the district’s savings on energy, so that there would be no net cost to the district, and would reimburse the district if the savings did not cover their costs. Board members asked for more information on the proposal.
