Motorists will want to be sure they buckle up when driving this weekend: The Milford Police Department is participating in wave 37 of the Connecticut Department of Transportation High Visibility Safety Belt/Child Safety Seat “Click it or Ticket” campaign.
The statewide campaign will run through Nov. 29, and local police said a “Safe Thanksgiving Weekend” is the theme for the safety campaign.
Police efforts will include safety checkpoints in various locations of the city, as well as educational material being available through the department’s Crime Prevention Unit.
