Monroe residents can recycle motor oil, anti-freeze and vehicle batteries once a month

The Monroe Public Works Department offers waste motor oil, anti-freeze and vehicle battery recycling on the second Saturday of every month. The next recycling session is April 14. Drop-off times for residents are 8 to 11:45 a.m. at the Town Highway Garage, 447 Purdy Hill Road.

Other scheduled dates for 2012 are May 12, June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. Call Monroe Public Works at 203-452-2814 for more information.
