The Masuk High boys hockey team closed out a tough week by qualifying for the state tournament with a 4-2 win over New Fairfield-Immaculate at the Rinks at Shelton on Saturday.

The Masuk High girls basketball team won its third game in a row, breezing past Bethel High 66-44 at David Strong Gymnasium in a South-West Conference matchup on Tuesday night.
Michelle Wu paced the Panthers, who improved to 10-8 (8-5 in the SWC), with 17 points and five assists, while Tori Schiebe chipped in with 11 points. Written by Staff

The Wildcats defeated the Spartans, Aztecs and Wolverines to open the season undefeated in the Monroe Parks and Recreation Fifth- and Sixth-Grade Boys Basketball League.

The Masuk High boys basketball team ran headlong into one of the hottest team’s in the league when it traveled to Stratford to face Bunnell High on Tuesday night.
Unfortunately for the locals, it got worse from there.

“This is what we’ve been striving for, everyone stepping in,” Masuk High girls basketball coach Ann Odoy said after her Panthers defeated Bunnell High of Stratford, 65-52, in a South-West Conference game at David Strong Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
“Today, everyone contributed.”
