Local exhibits paintings

New Canaan’s Susan Cutler Tremaine will join 17 other artists of the Wilson Avenue Loft Artists in Norwalk in exhibiting her recent work during an open studios event at 225 Wilson Avenue, South Norwalk. Opening receptions for the exhibit “Current Inspirations” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 13, and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 14. The group exhibit, on view in the Wilson Avenue Loft Artists’ gallery, will feature a variety of media and styles, reflecting the diversity of the participating artists.

Visitors are encouraged to wander through the studios and meet the artists, who will be available to discuss their work, according to a release.

In addition to Cutler Tremaine, other artists participating in the event include Britt Bair, Susan Crawford, Lori Glavin, Dana Goodfellow, Pam Lindberg, Mary Manning, Vicki French Smith and Gwynne Tibbetts, all from Darien; Randi Jane Davis and Elise Mills, Ridgefield; Hanneke Goedkoop, Lynn Stephens Massey and Grace Shanley, Norwalk; Nancy McTague-Stock and Ruth Ipe, Wilton, and Claudia Mengel, Westport.

The event is free and open to the public.
