The New Canaan Historical Society will host after-school workshops for six- to 11-year-olds in December. At each workshop, held from 4 to 5:30 p.m., the children will learn history, make a colonial-inspired craft and play games.
The first workshop in December will be on Wednesday, December 2, and the topic will be tin punching. Participants will make their own tin-punched piece using stencils. The holidays will be the theme of the last workshop, to be held on Wednesday, December 9. Children will bake and make crafts to bring home and share with their families.All workshops are held at the Historical Society’s 1764 Hanford-Silliman House Museum, 33 Oenoke Ridge.
