Lapham to host H1N1 vaccine clinic

The New Canaan Health Department will host an H1N1 (swine) flu clinic from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, November 23, at Lapham Center. Limited amounts of live intranasal and inactivated injectable vaccine will be available to adults and children 10 years of age or older who fall within the high priority group. Due to the limited number of doses, the Health Department strongly urges the community to continue to call their medical providers to see if supply is available at their locations.

High-risk priority groups eligible for receive the H1N1 vaccine are:

Intranasal

1. Healthy children ages 10 to 24 years

2. Healthy household contacts (10 years old and older) and caregivers of infants less than six months of age.

Injectable

1. Pregnant women

2. Household contacts (10 years old and older) and caregivers of infants less than six months of age

3. Children ages 10 to 24 years with high-risk medical conditions.
