Hospice launches appeal

Nursing & Home Care/Mid-Fairfield Hospice has launched its 2009 Annual Appeal looking to raise $160,000 this year. These funds will help ensure that area families in need will have access to professional home health care, respite care for those who are emotionally and physically exhausted, and bereavement support. For nearly 90 years, Nursing & Home Care and its partner, Mid-Fairfield Hospice, have provided professional nursing and support services, rehabilitation, counseling, health education, community wellness programs, care management and hospice services for individuals and families throughout Fairfield County. The non-profit agency is staffed by professionals who provide in-home services to patients who may be recently discharged from the hospital, at home recovering from an illness or injury, or in need of long-term care from a chronic illness or condition. Nursing & Home Care also provides wellness programs.
