Storytime registration at library

The seven-week 2010 winter storytime programs for preschoolers and school-age children at New Canaan Library begins the week of January 19. All programs will be held in the Children’s Program Room.

Registration for the Time for Twos program begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 7. Children must be two by the start date, and parents need to present the child’s library card at registration. Time for Twos will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays at 9:30 and 11 a.m., Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. and Fridays at 11a.m. Parents unable to attend this registration may have a friend or relative register their child and call-in registrations may be made after 10:30 a.m. January 7 by calling 203-594-5004.

Registration for ages three to eight begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 5. Children must be the appropriate age for the class by January 5 and parents need to present the child’s library card at registration.

Storytimes will be offered for three and four year olds at 1:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. A preschool threes, fours and fives class will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. An after-school story and craft program for children in kindergarten, first and second grades will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesdays. Call-in registrations may be made after 10:30 a.m. January 5 at 203-594-5002.

First preference will be given to New Canaan residents for the storytime series.
