Pro Arte Singers celebrates its 37th season with its annual benefit from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Saturday, January 23, at the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan. The theme will be an old-fashioned hoedown, and guests may bid on box suppers from some of the area’s restaurants. Hors d’oeuvres, libations, silent and live auctions, and entertainment will be on the bill as well.
Artistic Director Joanne Parady has assembled a six-person cast for the event, all members of Pro Arte.
In keeping with the hoedown theme, they will present music from “Oklahoma!” Pro Arte performers include Ellen Sisson and Sherry Tate of New Canaan, Richard Weidlich, Sarah Bleasdale and Bill Cruse, with Brian Frazier on piano.
Tickets, at $150 each, include the full evening’s events.
For reservations or more information, or to make a tax-deductible auction donation, visit proartesingers.org to use an online registration and donation system, hosted by events.org. Donors may also call 203-322-5970 or send checks to P.O. Box 4251, Stamford, CT 06907.
