Kids Helping Kids hosts documentary to help Sudan today

Kids Helping Kids in conjunction with St. Luke’s School is hosting a viewing of a documentary about Sudan this afternoon. Gabriel Bol Deng, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan, made a documentary about his hometown in Sudan and his efforts to build a school and provide clean water there.

The show starts at 4 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at St. Luke’s. Attendees are invited to stay for pizza and conversation after the show. This event is open to the public and is geared toward children in fifth grade and older and their parents, though everyone is welcome. The cost is $5 per person.

Kids Helping Kids will be furthering the effort to raise awareness about the situation in Sudan by holding the Workout for Wells event on January 29 from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Outback Teen Center in New Canaan.

Activities will include dancing and games with all money going to build a well for this community in Sudan.
