Comedy night benefits Horizons

Horizons Student Enrichment Program will host comics Maureen Langan and Bonnie Levison in the New Canaan Country School auditorium on Friday, February 5. All proceeds benefit Horizons, a year-round academic, cultural and athletic program for K-12 students from low-income families.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6:30 p.m.; the show follows at 8. Tickets are $100 or $200 (premium seating and closer parking). Langan opens for Joy Behar of “The View,” has appeared on HBO and is a regular at theatres on Broadway and in Las Vegas, Nev. She was named Best Female Comic of 2009 by the Manhattan Association of Clubs and Cabarets.

Levison, who performs throughout New York City, founded the Nantucket Comedy Festival in 2008, and teaches and performs at The Moth, a not-for-profit storytelling organization.
