The Outback Teen Center will hold its grand opening of the “Teen Center Cafe” tomorrow, Friday, February 5, featuring food and beverages from The Apple Cart. The Cafe will be open Wednesdays, Friday and Saturdays from 2 p.m. until closing.
Emad Aziz, owner of the cart, owns a snack bar at Mead Park from spring until autumn every year. The Apple Cart has been in business for 12 years, including four years at Mead and 11 years at The Lake Club. In addition to the Outback, the business is currently running the food service at St. Aloysius in town.
The menu includes burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, pizza, chicken quesadillas, fruit smoothies, gelato and soft drinks. In addition to offering the Teen Center Cafe after school and at all special events for middle and high schoolers, The Apple Cart is also available for catering team and birthday parties as well as other private rentals.
The grand opening “After School Special” on Friday will offer $1 off all combo meals from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Combos feature a beverage, fries and choice of burger, pizza, nuggets or sandwiches. There will be door prizes for seventh and eighth graders who come during the “After School Special” time.
