Silver Hill Hospital earned an award for excellence from the Connecticut State Medical Society for recognition of its continuing medical education program, which has been accredited with commendation for the maximum term of six years.
The award was presented by Bob Brunell of the Connecticut State Medical Society and accepted by Dr. Barry Kerner and Anne Romano of Silver Hill at a recent ceremony held on the hospital campus.
Silver Hill Hospital is accredited by the Connecticut State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education credits to physicians who attend education presentations sponsored by the hospital.
“Our Continuing Medical Education Committee works very hard to ensure our medical staff and physicians in the community receive the highest quality of medical education in order to stay at the cutting edge of the mental health profession,” said Kerner, physician-in-chief and director of medical education at Silver Hill. “We are very grateful to be recognized for these efforts.”
Education presentations offered at Silver Hill focus primarily on topics of mental health and addiction.
