The Newcomers Club of New Canaan has a series of events slated for March, starting with a session for children and parents about the Bouncing Bears Program at the New Canaan YMCA Monday, March 15, from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.
Children will be exposed to activities that enhance flexibility, balance, rhythm and motor skills. The recommended age is children two to four years old. This event is open to club members only.
Couples Gourmet is meeting from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20. A location is to be determined. Gatherings are held once a month in groups of three or four couples at a host house. Each couple brings a dish, and the menus are planned ahead and recipes are sent out a week to two weeks in advance.
Newcomers will meet for cocktails at the Roger Sherman Inn from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, March 25. Club members are invited to attend and enjoy live music, drinks and mingling.
The club is looking for individuals to join the International Group, for people who have international ties. The group is a mix of expatriates from all over the world who are currently living in the United States as well as U.S. citizens who have lived abroad or who have international spouses/partners.
