The Reach Dance Project will hold its fourth annual benefit dance concert, “Bridges,” at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at New Canaan High School. A silent auction will begin at 7 p.m. and continue through intermission, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to Person-to-Person in Darien.“Bridges” will feature performances by local dance companies including New Canaan Dance Academy, New England Dance Theatre of New Canaan, Connecticut Dance School of Fairfield, Darien Dance Center of Darien, Double Up Dance Group and Latin Moves of Stamford.
“The Reach Dance Project leverages the extensive dance community to raise funds to support local charitable groups,” said Kristin Schweizer, co-founder of the project. “We provide an opportunity for artists to express their artistic vision and have a positive impact on our shared community.”
Lifelong dancers and founders of The Reach Dance Project — Emily Frangipane, Bonnie Gombos and Schweizer — selected Person-to-Person as this year’s beneficiary. Person-to-Person is an emergency assistance nonprofit agency that serves low-income residents of Fairfield County with food, clothing, financial assistance and eviction mediation.
Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under, and tickets may be purchased at the door with a check or cash. Credit cards are not accepted.
