Inter-faith women's conference is family-centered

“Families: A Safe Haven; Nurturing the Relationships that Matter Most,” is the theme of the interfaith women’s conference being held from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, March 19, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 682 South Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

Nancy Dennin will present the keynote address “Mothering and Grandmothering with Faith, Love and Humor.”

Following Dennin’s address, participants will choose to attend two of the three workshops offered by local residents.

Monique Ames and Helen Palmesi will present a class titled, “Ears that Hear and Hearts that Feel.” It will explore the ways that our consistency in the seemingly small things in life adds up to the rich foundation of a happy and fulfilling family life.

“No Good Women Left Behind” is the title of the workshop that Mary Lydon and Julie Thompson will be teaching.

Gary and Cathy Crittenden will provide a fresh perspective on creating a marriage that lasts in the workshop titled “Avoiding the Thick of Thin Things.” They will offer practical advice such as small things we can do daily to strengthen our relationship with our spouses.
