An afternoon Bible study program takes place on Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Community Baptist Church.
A women’s Bible study is offered Tuesday mornings at 9:30 by Grace Community Church. Call Sharon Bottomley at 972-0756. There is a Singles Bible study from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the church offices, 58 East Avenue, and also an open Bible study at the offices from 6:30 to 8 p.m., with pizza provided.

Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Fellowship takes place at St. Aloysius Parish, as well as adult Bible study on Thursday at 10 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.

Young Life is a Christian, non-denominational outreach program to high school students, which meets in the evenings at students’ homes. It’s an evening of skits, singing and discussion of the relevance of Jesus Christ in the lives of teenagers. The Prayer Shawl Ministry at The Congregational Church invites knitters of all levels to knit shawls for women who have had a baby and for men and women who are ill or bereaved. The group meets the second and fourth Monday at 10 a.m. in the church parlor.
The Lion’s Den Book & Gift Store is near Morrill Hall on the grounds St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge. Merchandise includes jewelry, music, cards, book, and other gift items. Congregation Beth El (838-2710) has a gift and simcha shop open on Sunday from 9 a.m. to Noon when religious school is in session. There are religious items, gifts, toys, and Purim costumes for sale.
