The New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, with offices at 111 Elm Street, has more than 400 members and strives to create an environment in which business can be successful and the quality of life in the community can be improved.
The Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Village Fair and Sidewalk Sale, the New Canaan Family Fourth, a golf outing, a Halloween parade, and the lighting of trees downtown in December.

The Ib.l.a.s.t. card is an incentive program designed to promote New Canaan's local economy. By presenting the Ib.a.s.t. card, you are entitled to special deals and savings incentives that businesses in town are offering only to card holders and the card may be used as many times as you'd like during the year. The New Canaan CaTS (Career Transition Support) is a free support group of volunteers offering assistance to those in job transition. It is sponsored by St. Mark's Episcopal Church and the 1st Presbyterian Church of New Canaan. Meetings are held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of each month. Professional career counselors lead discussions on relevant topics often with break-out sessions for the participants. Networking time follows.
