Field Club paddle tennis players star during Viking Tour

The New Canaan Field Club’s junior paddle tennis players had a stellar holiday season, with several athletes acing open titles at the Patterson Club in Fairfield and during a tournament in Garden City, N.J. in December.

The NCFC accounted for the largest number of participants from a club in each tournament, which were part of the Viking Junior Paddle Tour.

Both tournaments had more than 100 players competing in boys and girls ages 10, 12, 14, and 18 and under divisions.

The following is a list of the top finishes by NCFC tennis players.

Patterson Junior Open

Reed Schultz and Austin Holmes — boys’ 18 and under champions

Phoebe Wilks and Liza Swindell — girls’ 18 and under champions

Hunter Essex and Peter Radman — boys’ 10 and under semifinalists

Grace Manges and Camaren Dayton — girls’ 12 and under champions

Emma Tregallas and Camryn Schlim — girls’ 12s semifinalists

Kim Dyrvik and Samantha Pepe — girls’ 12s fifth place

Long Island Junior Open

Phoebe Wilks and Ariana Ross — girls’ 18 and under champions

Teddy Manges and Josh Kloud — semifinalists

Grace Manges and Camaren Dayton — girls’ 12 and under runners-up.
